In a Thriller
: Werewolves Of London by Warren Zevon put up a good fight but just could knock off Thriller by Michael Jackson. Final score: 10-7.

The Legend Of Wooley Swamp, a #31 hit for The Charlie Daniels Band in 1980, is a story about a greedy old man who buries his money in mason jars. One night he digs them up to count his riches when some evil brothers come looking for him to take his money, when they find him they beat him and throw him in the swamp and watch as the black water sucks him under. They turn to run but can't because they're running in quicksand, and just before they go under they hear the old man laughing in a voice as loud as thunder.

Cliff Richard is as big as the Beatles in England but here in the U.S. he has had 9 top 40 songs from 1959 to 1982. In 1976 he hit #6 with his gold record Devil Woman. This song doesn't have much of a storyline, this guy starts having bad luck when this cat shows up at his door, he's then drawn to this evil woman who gives him a potion and he finds himself on the floor, crystal ball on the table showing the future the past same cat with those evil eyes and I better get out of here fast, and the final warning, beware the Devil Woman she's gonna get you from behind.
