New Wave Hits of the 80's, Vol. 5
Just Can'tGet Enough
Rhino Records always puts together some interesting compilations and New Wave Hits Of The 80's Vol.5 (just can't get enough) is no exception. This cd seems to focus on the year 1982 and contains the big hits: Mickey-Toni Basil (#1), 867-5309 / Jenny-Tommy Tutone (#4), Vacation-Go-Go's (#8), and I Ran (So Far Away)-A Flock Of Seagulls (#9). This has the moderate hits: Kids In America-Kim Wilde (#25), Valley Girl- Frank & Moon Zappa (#32), Someday, Someway-Marshall Crenshaw (#36), and Love Plus One-Haircut One Hundred (#37). A couple of bottom dewelling hits: I Want Candy-Bow Wow Wow (#62) and I Know What Boys Like- The Waitresses (#62). I thought Hold On To Something- Great Buildings was ok. as was Town Called Malice-The Jam. The last four songs were just crap. You probably could have geussed just by the songs titles: Sex Dwarf, I Love A Man In Uniform, The Art Of Parties, and Homosapien. Not a bad collection overall. Rhino Records usually keeps it fun. Enjoy and remember: When at Parties watch out for Homosapien Sex Dwarfs in Uniforms.
