American Songbook Vol. 2

Various

American Songbook Vol.2  is full of old classics. Pennies From Heaven by Bing Crosby was a number one hit in 1936, More Than You Know by Perry Como reached number 19 in 1946, and I Love You, Porgy by Nina Simone peaked at number 18 in 1959.

Song I would rate as good are: Come Rain Or Come Shine (Live) by Dinah Washington, I Can't Give You Anything But Love by Mel Torme, Georgia On My Mind by Hoagy Carmichael, Blame It On My Youth by Connie Francis, What A Difference A Day Makes by Sarah Vaughan, Skylark by Anita O'Day, and You Make Me Feel So Young by Rosemary Clooney.

My O.K. song are: Anything Goes by Tony Bennett, Slumming On Park Avenue by Peggy Lee with Jeff Chandler, Nature Boy by Annie Rose, and I'm Always Chasing Rainbows by Judy Garland.

Crap!:  I Could Write A Book (Live) by Carmen McRae was o.k. until the last few seconds of the recording when for some reason her voice just went crazy on her, like she was tone deaf, very strange.
