Disney's Superstar Hits
Various
Disney's Superstar Hits is a collection of songs from various Disney films. Many of these songs hit the pop charts. You'll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins from Tarzan hit #21 in 1999, Circle Of Life by Elton John from The Lion King reached #18 in 1994, Beauty And The Beast by Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson peaked at #9 in 1992, Colors Of The Wind by Vanessa Williams from Pocahontas was a #4 hit in 1995, and A Whole New World by Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle from Aladdin was a #1 smash hit in 1993.
Other songs I enjoyed were Reflection by Christina Aguilera from Mulan, My Funny Friend & Me by Sting from The Emperor's New Groove, True To Your Heart by 98 degrees and Stevie Wonder from Mulan, and Strangers Like Me by Phil Collins from Tarzan.
A few songs were just ok for my taste: He Lives In You by Tina Turner from The Lion King II: Return To Pride Rock, I'm Gonna Love You (Madellaine's Love Song) by Jennifer Love Hewitt from The Hunchback Of Notre Dame II, Put It Together (Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo) by Brooke Allison from Cinderella II, Hakuna Matata by Jimmy Cliff and Lebo M from The Lion King, You've Go A Friend In Me by Randy Newman & Lyle Lovett from Toy Story, and Once Upon A Time In New York by Huey Lewis from Oliver & Company.
I thought When She Loved Me by Sarah McLachlan from Toy Story 2 was a dud. I think anything she does is a dud.
Hopefully my grandchildren will like the movies and these musical treasures.
